Hello Kitty lovers, rejoice! Sanrio and Graco Japan have collaborated to produce a stroller and car seat with a Hello Kitty theme. It was supposedly launched in 2014, but apparently hit our shores recently. Just saw the ad on one of the baby product companies (can’t remember which one now) Facebook page.
The stroller model is CitiLite R UP which weighs a mere 4.8kg and is meant to carry a child up to 15kg (1 month to 3 years old). The colourway for the stroller is pretty classic — black and red. Check out Hello Kitty’s signature red bow attached to the top of the hood. Can you say kawaii? 😀
The car seat model is Junior Plus DX which is pretty lightweight too — 3.8kg — and seats a child of 3 to 11 years old (15kg to 36kg). It is also in the same colourway — black and red, again with Hello Kitty’s signature red bow affixed at the top. What’s cute about the car seat is the ‘ears’ at the top of the seat.
While the colourway isn’t too pink and girly, I still think that most Hello Kitty items would suit girls better. (Too bad the little one in my womb is probably a boy.) If I had too much cash to spare, perhaps I would insist on getting them. Too cute to resist! (Although I’m more of a My Melody fan.) But I do have my preference for features of a stroller and car seat, and these don’t cut it. Ah well. Good to look at, I suppose.
If you are really keen to get them, apparently there are limited numbers at Kiddy Palace. Not sure which branch stocks them. Maybe it might be wise to call in and enquire first.
